Nick Sexton

It is with great sadness that we have to tell you that Nick Sexton passed away on 6th January 2021.

Nick had been a guiding force for the Museum since it began, and had fulfilled a variety of roles. With his wife, Angela, he took the lead in making Ifield Mill more accessible to schools, other community groups and the general public, devising education programmes, organising visits and Open Days, and co-ordinating The Mill volunteer team.

The Crawley Museums Trustees would like to pay tribute to the long service of Nick to Ifield Watermill and Crawley Museum. He held the post of Chair of the Management Committee, and then President of the former Crawley Museum Society, and more recently Crawley Museums CIO. Nick and Angela, over the years, have worked tirelessly as very valuable volunteers on education, and the production of the quarterly Newsletters.

On behalf of the Crawley Museums Trustees and Staff, we wish to extend our sincere condolences to Angela and the family at this time.
