Ivy Ball was born in Portsea, Hampshire 20th February 1890. She was the youngest of twelve children. Her father Alfred Ball, was a Hardware Merchant and Oil Merchant.
Ivy Ball age 23 is listed in the 1911 census; at Worth Park in the employ of Mrs Montefiore as a Housemaid.

Ivy married Thomas Davies January 1918 and had one daughter. Ivy died January 1963 age 73.
