Meet Santa at Crawley Museum

Come join us at Crawley Museum on various dates in December for a magical experience! Get ready to meet the jolly man himself, Santa Claus, in person!

Bring your little ones along for a day filled with festive joy and excitement. Santa will be waiting to hear their Christmas wishes and spread holiday cheer.

While you wait for your turn to meet Santa, explore the enchanting exhibits at Crawley Museum. Immerse yourself in the rich history of our town and learn fascinating stories about Crawley’s past.

This event is perfect for families looking to celebrate the holiday season together. Don’t miss out on this wonderful opportunity to make your child’s dreams come true and experience the magic of Christmas at Crawley Museum.

Tickets at 10.30, 10.40 & 10.50 are reserved for SEND visitors. Please bear this in mind when booking your slot.

This event is FREE but donations at the museum are welcome. Tickets are valid for up to 2 adults and a maximum of 4 children per booking due to space restrictions. We reserve the right to refuse entry if these conditions are not adhered to. Maximum 1 booking per family. You MUST book in order to visit Santa. The museum will still be open to visitors as normal.

Please be aware that Santa’s grotto is outdoors in the courtyard so please dress warmly.

Victorian Dickensian Christmas Family Day Saturday 16th December, 10.30 am – 4.00 pm

Our day will begin at 10.30 with a heart-warming performance of traditional Victorian Christmas carols sung by the Voices of Waterfield Primary School Choir.

Meet famous Dickensian Crawley resident John Leech (1817-1864), ‘A Christmas Carol’ illustrator brought to life by Half-Time Orange Theatre Company. Performances at 11.30, 1.00 & 3.00.

Join us and Half-Time Orange for a play about local John Leech.

Learn about how the Victorians created Christmas and create your own vintage cards, crackers and hanging sweet cones to take home.

Santa’s Grotto available to book in advance here

Please be aware that Santa’s grotto is outdoors in the courtyard so please dress warmly.

Admission free. Suggested donation £3/person. Additional donations welcome to help us run events like this in future!

Includes theatre shows, arts and crafts, parlour games and entry to all the galleries.

Seasonal treats and refreshments available to purchase.

Family Fun Day Sunday 17th December 2023, 10.30 am – 4.00 pm

Family day (and the duration of the exhibition) includes

A “Design a football shirt for Crawley Town Football Club” competition, with prizes of;

Family Ticket (2 adults 2 children for a CTFC Home EFL game)

Signed Crawley Town Shirt

Both donated by Crawley Town FC

One Month’s subscription to Brick Borrow (The Lego brick borrowing service) For Primary school, Secondary school and adult age groups

Father Christmas and his helper, Reggie the Red, will also be there, book in advance here

GFH Banks will be joining us in the temporary exhibition gallery to talk about the History of Crawley Town FC.

Performances of GFH Banks by Half Time Orange are at 12pm, 2.30pm & 3.30pm in the exhibition space.
