History Unboxed

1 Dec 2024 - 31 May 2026

History Unboxed aims to make Crawley Museum a resource and skills hub for local history and active research.

Working with volunteers and using our collections as stimulus for pop-up exhibitions in the museum and out in the wider community. The volunteers will also co-curate a main exhibition “A Spoonful of Sugar” for the temporary exhibition space, exploring the history of healthcare in Crawley.

Participants are supported to work on their own projects using the resources of the Museum. We are also working on joint projects leading to exhibitions in the Gallery at the Museum.

If you have an idea, you’d like help to research, then please get in touch. We offer tours of the Museum archives and practical skills workshops to research and present your own projects.
