This project was a study of the people of Ifield through the documents they have left behind.
Although many have been lost or destroyed, much remains and it is these we have used in our task. We have endeavoured to interpret the document about the people of the village, and how they were affected by factors outside their province, by laws, and by royal proclamations.
We have sought population trends, plague, famine, life, and death.
Among many other stories, we look at the witch who could cast shoes and the child saved by a miracle.

Full of statistics, maps, plans, parish records, people, and much more from 1085 to 1871.
